Where has the conditional formatting gone with the new Power BI Desktop formatting pane?
I am sure everyone can agree that the new formatting pane is an awesome change.
But at the same time, I have found it a challenge to find settings with the new format pane.
In this blog post I will show you to find the conditional formatting which appears to have gone missing in the new format pane?
In my example below I am going to using the Matrix where I want to format the font colour.
Once I have clicked on my Matrix visual, I then click on the “Format your Visual” icon
Now for me to find background color to conditionally format I need to navigate to “Cell Elements” as shown below.
Once I expanded this I then could see the familiar option to change the Font color by clicking on the fx button.
Summary
I hope that this blog post has been helpful for you to find where the conditional formatting has moved to in the new formatting pane.
It certainly took me a fair while to find out where it had moved to!
Thanks for reading and if you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks for this, but what about the one for page navigation. That’s missing also. Appreciate your blogs!
Hi Dawn
Yeah for sure there are a lot of changes, I will try and update them as I find them.
Thanks
Gilbert
