Using Power BI Support to create a Support Ticket
Whilst I have been busy answering questions on the Power BI Community one of the things that I have found is that at times people with Power BI Pro or Power BI Premium are unsure where to create a support ticket which will allow them to escalate their issues.
Below I explain how to do this.
Creating Support Ticket
- The first step was to create a support ticket.
- I went to https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/
-
Then I scrolled to the bottom and clicked on CREATE SUPPORT TICKET
-
I then had to describe my issue, which I typed into the details below.
- This is always a great starting point, because if someone else had the same issue there is a possibility I could solve it myself.
- I then clicked on CONTINUE TO SUPPORT TICKET
-
I completed all the details required, putting in as much information and then clicked on SUBMIT TICKET
-
I then got a confirmation page with the details of the support ticket number as shown below.
I find it very often that users in the Power BI community are not sure where or how to log a support ticket and now you know the steps to complete!
Thanks for reading and as always if you have got any questions please leave them in the comments section below.
Hi Gilbert,
Great post thank you – I actually read this the other week and today have an issue where I’m unable to login to online service. So I used your post – only snag is that you need to sign in to log issue and as I attempt to login I get the same issue – just has a flashing power bi logo in middle of screen so I’m unable to raise a ticket either lol – have you ever experienced that issue or any ideas welcomed for this “catch-22”.
Please ignore above, I went in again and not sure what I did before but now the I can submit – apologies – thanks again for the post 🙂
No worries thanks for the comments and letting me know you got it resolved
